Best forest trails in Lutzerath

This route lets you escape from everyday life and unwind. You can enjoy the connection to nature here at any time of year. Three "forest islands", furnished with cosy sofas, invite you to linger. The route leads through the unique landscape of the Volcanic Eifel around Lutzerath. As the name suggests, the Zwei-Täler-Weg leads through two idyllic valleys. You start in the centre of the village of Lutzerath, from where you head into the Erdenbach valley. The route follows shady paths along the Erlenbach stream. Open fields repeatedly open up fantastic views. The "Eifel Fähnchen" is a particularly beautiful vantage point. The hike is signposted with the logo of the "Weiherbachtal" circular trail. Highlights along the route include the Weiherbach valley, the Erdenbach valley and the Spanik view.

The unique views give you an early glimpse of what awaits you. The Achterhöhe viewing platform offers a particularly marvellous view. A bench here invites you to enjoy the panorama and linger a while.
