As you would expect in the slate region, you will pass numerous old slate mines, such as the Colonia or Maria-Schaft mine. A particular highlight of the route is the reconstructed slate house on the Herrenwiese. You also pass the monastery and the Maria Martental pilgrimage church, which was founded in 1140. The route is well signposted and marked with a green-blue heart.
