To the east of Erpel, directly on the Rhine, the rock of the Erpeler Ley rises 191 metres above the Rhine valley. From up there you have a wonderful view of the Rhine, the towns of Kasbach, Erpel, Linz and Remagen and far beyond into the mountains of the Eifel. The village of Erpel itself is famous for its 335m long railway bridge.
