The first part of the hike offers wonderful views as far as the Eifel. Afterwards, the narrow notch valley of the Baybach with its steeple-high rocks is impressive - the canyon of the Hunsrück. After a longer climb in the forest with the ascent to the Rabenlay rock, the views over the Hunsrück, the Moselle valley and as far as the Eifel dominate once again.
