The Eichelberg is a certified premium hiking trail. This route can be found in the land of 1000 hills, as Rheinhessen is often called. The "Hiwweltour Eichelberg" combines a disused railway line with extensive meadow and vineyard landscapes as well as Mediterranean-style gnarled oak and pine forests. Shortly before the end of the tour, it provides an insight into a spectacular quarry, at the bottom of which a lake has formed, reflecting Neu-Bamberg and its castle.
