Best historic site trails in Wiehl

Popular loop trail in the Bergisches Land nature park, North Rhine-Westphalia. Several, very different hiking highlights characterize this loop trail near Wiehl. It starts at the stalactite cave, whose almost 900 m long corridor system can be explored on guided tours. Those who are more interested in wild animals can visit the wildlife park before hiking through forests, meadows and small towns in the direction of Elsenroth. As the route name suggests, this circular route leads from Merkausen to a series of reservoirs in the north. The numerous viewing towers along the route are also interesting, such as the Knollen viewing tower near Hackenberg.
