Through the Barnim Nature Park in the state of Brandenburg. From Birkenwerder S-Bahn station, the route leads past the Briese colony with its famous forest school, and then along the Briese. An optional detour can be made in the direction of the forest, at the edge of which there is a small snack bar. The mill hiking trail then leads southwards to the mill pond with the impressive Dammsmühle castle and finally to Schönwalde railway station. There are refreshment stops in the surrounding area.
