This route is stage 4 of the Allgäu Cycle Path, a long-distance cycling route between Isny im Allgäu and Halblech. Leaving historic Schongau, riders cycle along the eastern banks of the widening Lech River. The path continues past the Riesner See and nature reserves toward Doldensee and Braunecksee before reaching Steingaden.
