The trail leads through forest and along streams to a clearing and a winter enclosure for red deer. As the trail leads through the Neuhüttenwiese wildlife reserve, it is only accessible in summer and autumn. The route is closed between 1 December and 16 May and should not be walked on to protect the red deer.
