Best long trails in Marktschellenberg

Popular hike near Berchtesgaden, Bavaria. The route begins at the free hiking car park on the Berchtesgadener Ache, near Marktschellenberg. Surrounded by illuminated beech forest, the trail climbs quickly. The Bachgraben and Lochgraben, with pools and waterfalls, follow the path a little lower down. From the Ettenau car park past the Scheibenkaser to the start of the Hochthronsteig (via ferrata C/D). Then over the summit to the Störhaus and through the Mittagsloch back to the Scheibenkaser and back to the car park.
