Best lake trails in Kipfenberg

Panoramic circular hike around Kipfenberg in the Altmühltal Nature Park. A somewhat longer but very varied hike, characterised by river valleys, impressive rock formations, caves and, of course, numerous magnificent views of the Altmühltal valley. Varied circular hike near Arnsberg in the Altmühltal Nature Park. The beautiful circular hiking trail leads through the Altmühltal, along the Altmühl, past the Limes and the ruins of the Michelsberg. There are some challenging sections, especially on the Michelsberg, with steep climbs, but also beautiful views. ----- Accessible by bus and train

As soon as you have mastered the first ascent, head left to the first beautiful viewpoint on a marvellous trail towards the castle. From here, head to the geogr. centre of Bavaria and continue left to the next trail towards the castle. Pass the castle gate and take a trail to Kipfenberg, where the next climb awaits. There are small sections of tarmac in between, but you are mostly on forest paths.
