Family-friendly circular hike in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria. An almost 5km long loop with few ascents, which leads once around the Weichselbrunner Weiher. You walk along beautiful forest paths and can take a short detour to the Rechenquelle spring. There is also a refuge near the spring, which is perfect for a picnic. This is a short trail that starts at Bodenwöhr Nord railway station in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park. The trail is heavily wooded and mostly runs along the shore of Lake Hammersee. From the shore, you can look out over the Hammersee and see Bodenwöhr. There are campsites in the surrounding area if required.

It goes through the Weichselbrunner Weiher and dry pine forest to Bodenwöhr. The rest of the trail leads through the forest back to Altenschwand, passing several ponds.
