Best short trails in Vaihingen an der Enz

Family-friendly circular hiking trail in the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park, Baden-Württemberg. This is a lovely walk north of Ensingen, which mostly follows the Schanzenweg and Burgweg paths. A worthwhile detour leads to the Eselsberg, where there is a viewing tower and a few remains of a castle stable levelled in 1925. The trail leads past many historical sites in Rosswag, including the old town centre with the town hall, St. Martin's Church and the bakery. It leads into the Enzaue and up into the vineyards to the Weinkanzel with a beautiful view of the steep slopes of the Rosswag Halde.
