The trail starts at the Beuron Archabbey, a prominent religious complex located in the Upper Danube Valley. Originally established in the 11th century, the site currently functions as a Benedictine monastery and is recognized for the Beuron Art School style. The route connects the abbey structures with the Liebfrauental, a nearby valley containing a replica of the Lourdes Grotto. The architectural elements remain framed by the steep limestone cliffs of the region.
