Best easy trails in Achern

Panoramic hike in Baden-Württemberg. The Illenau car park is the starting point for this beautiful route. Via Herrenwegel through the hilly fields, you reach Obersasbach and have a marvellous view of the mountains from there. From here, the route heads uphill towards Vogelsberg and from there through a vineyard to Schelzberg, where you can stop for a tasty bite to eat. Accessible by bus and train. There are refreshment stops along the route.

This idyllic circular walk starts at the Illenau car park and leads through the Illenau woods, the Illenau cemetery (well worth a visit) towards Obersasbach and via the Illenkreuzwald forest to the source of the Illenbach stream.
