The Valle del Tetero es the most iconic valley of the national park system of the country. Can get very cold for an island on the Caribbean and is very beautiful. You can get there by different and several trails. It can hold many hundreds visitors at a time. The trail is very difficult because of the erosion and mud.

the trail was beautiful

This was an excellent trail going first thru a little hill and then walking over a river. After that we took a dirt road which lead us to the trailhead itself, and then found a beautiful place to camp: Máximo Gómez Campground. A very ease trail to make with kids and pets.

I really love this place. It´s really green, full of live, and the trail is not so hard or difficult. The river is wonderfull and the temperature is very nice for a tropical island.
