Thors Forest is part of the Marselisborg Forests, and it is used for races, cycling, hiking and horse riding. The old deciduous forest has a rich plant and animal life, and the landscape is very varied with steep hills and deep valleys. It's possible to walk along the beach as well. Although the forest has a very hilly terrain, it is well suited for hiking, and many riders also use the forest, which has marked riding routes.Show more

Length: 9.5 mi • Est. 3 h 49 m
This trail goes through the heath area of Randbøl Hede and past the unique lakes Syvaarssøerne and offers a huge variety on landscapes. The lakes are a curiosity, in that they sometimes dry out completely and at other times are filled with water - a cycle that can last several years. Hence the name "Syvaarssøerne" ("The seven year lakes"). If on horseback, you should stick to the main paths - this is especially true in the lakes area, where many parts of the loop follow narrow and at times steep paths.Show more
