Fantastic landscape.

Danhostel park is a nice escape in the city allowing you to feel as though you were close to the Danish coastline.

Around Nybro there is an inn with traditional Danish food and a good kitchen. Across the street is kanoo and kayak rental and also a popular icecream stand, can recommend it. In the south east part of the lake - closes to a Lyngby downtown - lies a little restaurant out to the lake that has live music every Sunday afternoon, usually rock or jazz. Lyngby lake roundtrip is perfect on a sunny Sunday.

By Danish standards very rocky terrain. Beautiful view. Unfortunately few pitstops with the possibility to retank waterbottles.

Rather dull, mainly tarmac walking alongside railway.

Nice route around the lake, if you want to take a longer hike there is an abondoned airport right beside it where you can take a stroll. A few times a year someone arrange friendly underground marathon/halfmaratons (called cannonballs) both around the lake or on the old runway, it's worth checking for those if you plan to visit.
