Beautiful landscape to a beautiful waterfall

First hike we completed whilst visiting the UK- the views were incredible, a beautiful experience.

Went out on a drizzly day, very muddy but enjoyable walk. We took the opportunity to extend the loop a few times increasing the difficulty and distance. The falls are well worth the climb down and back up! Stunning scenery so a very popular walk at weekends in particular. Bring coins if you intend to park in one of the car parks, well worth the £4 to help keep the paths open and the centre/ toilets up and running!

A hard walk, but an achievement, enjoyed.

After doing Cadair Berwyn a couple of times before. We chose to take our small team up for our first Mountain Warriors challenge. The team loved it, lots of challenges along the way. We did bootcamp exercises and team building...just to make it more interesting! Quick stop off at Pystll Rhaeadr waterfall too Check out our fb page Mountain Warriors or Instagram Mountain Warriors (@mountainwarriors2019)

Can be very windy on top but amazing views! Worth the climbs.

I did this walk anti-clockwise and I think the incline was slightly steadier than doing it the otherway. I would walk this way again as on the return leg I came down off the hill and straight into the carpark which I was grateful for. Parking is on a National Trust Car Park for £3 a day or free to members. Lanes approaching the carpark are single track. Gets very busy near summits and of course you have to queue to take a photo at the trig point but the rest of the route had far less traffic. 95% of paths very clear

amazing huge waterfall you can go behind

Did this trail on a cold sunny day in December. Fantastic views. Slightly more challenging than anticipated- quite a lot of ascents and descents. Allow plenty of time- particularly in winter when days are shorter. We got to the top but had to go back the way we came. Would recommend this walk. Very peaceful, was not busy and views are incredible- a patch quilt of green (mostly undisturbed countryside and farms) -There is a privately owned car park at start of trail which is handy -Bring plenty of water (nowhere to top up) -bring some energy food- you’ll want a pick me up after some of the steeper ascents - can get quite windy

Great walk

Trecked out left from the main falls today, following the route. The falls were amazing and views of the mountains incredible. But the cross over back into the forest over the river was impassable maybe okay at much lower water/SUMMER. Had to make it back through the rough boggy trails along river to main waterfall access bridge before sundown!

I would recommend this walk! Really beautiful even on a cloudy day! Really worth the time out of your weekend! Loved it!

Unfortunately this trail is no good. Very difficult to follow on the way up with barely a trail in sight. We are seasoned hikers and became very frustrated with this route. Such a shame as the way back was nowhere near as bad. I don’t often write reviews but I needed to with this one!

Great trail! However this is a moderate walk, the gradient is steep, and when wet it can be quite hard to get up the two steep climbs. Beautiful though and after heavy rains, the waterfalls were spectacular. Walked with my mum (70 years old) who is a seasoned walker and she struggled due to her short legs and the often big steps on the climbs.

Stunning trail! A must do if your in the Brecon Beacons.
