Made this quick loop while exploring Yellowstone on snow machines. The area is so beautiful in the winter!

Great Kids hike, if you get their early enough the water is calm and looks like glass. Risk of bears throughout, but overall a great kids hike.

Walked and snowshoed this trail 01/14/20. Trail is groomed for fat tire bikes. Good for hiking or running

Good trail for riding around, easy for beginners going off-roading. Some parts get rocky with all the dirt and a small amount of snow on the road but it’s a very beautiful trail. I went past both lakes and back up to the main road. Be cautious of the antelope.

Nice hike up to the top of inspiration lake. We did the whole lake loop and then went up to inspiration point. Even encountered some very friendly squirrels up at the top! Beautiful views.

hard trail for sure. feels very steep but the view at the top is definitely worth it. saw some amazingly fit people training on this mountain - super inspiring!

Just beautiful. A terrific walk. Stairs. Wooden path. Arrived four days before Steamboat Geyser erupted, but it was spitting a lot when we visited.

First week of June caught us in a surprise hail storm while on this short hike. A cold, but terrific memory. A beautiful view at the top. Flooded, if sudden rains happen, the trail back was flooded and we just slogged through the water. No biggie, but FYI.

A must-see, of course. We arrived 45 minutes before the next eruption, and enjoyed the wide, expansive views. Very crowded, but a lot of fun. Great gift shops nearby and make sure to stop inside the historic Inn.

Snowshoes out to Phelps Lake yesterday. Trail has been heavily used by snowshoeing and cross country skiers. Trail was well marked despite the snow levels. Hikers need to go prepared for very cold winter conditions in backcountry. It was 9 below zero at the start of our hike. Beautiful lake scenery made the hike worth the effort.

Hiked it today in snowshoes -- great weather! Well-groomed trail, thanks to the ski resort. Saw a few deer near the path. Watch out for downhill skiers!

One of my top 3 fav hikes of all time!!!!! The boulder field and scramble climb to the top was gnarly but soo much fun!!!! As long as you have good route finding skills and are in good physical shape you’re set. Not really technical I’d say but just have good footing and be aware. Like others have said you can easily get off track. Did this hike last week of August!

We looped it so it was only 19-20 miles for us. First 4 miles have incline but after that it’s pretty flat. Different types of views and there’s a 2-3 mile meadow section. Saw a moose and a black bear. You can back country camp 7 miles in with food containers available. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend because the views don’t go high up, but it is pretty!

After getting off Amphitheater trail, follow the rock trail. It’s noticeable and I’ve seen kids do it. You get to climb over boulders to a steep dirt hill with a path. This is the prettiest hike I’ve ever done. The water is ice cold but we jumped in anyway. 10/10

Hiked the trail and went a ways past the cabin in early October in a group of three. We only passed one other small group on the trail. Strenuous, but totally worth it! Gorgeous views for most of the trail.
