Great little walk when the backcountry trails are inaccessible because of weather.

Great trail. Surprises at the end, if you’re lucky you’ll see trains, South Sound, ducks and islands. Take a snack to enjoy while watching the calm waters.

Good quick hike, there was quite a bit of snow however none directly on the trail. For most of the trail there is a creek running down the center of the trail so unless you have solid hiking boots be prepared to have wet feet. Towards the top when you near the lake you start to see some snow, however still not much on the actual trail. The hike is a quick steep 1 hourish hike up and about the same coming back down. Rated at easy-moderate depending on snow conditions and personal performance Warning: the road leading to the trail head is riddled with pot holes, be prepared to bottom your vehicle out if you aren’t careful.

Lovely training hike near Seattle. Went up this afternoon and definitely noticed a lot of mud, small water streams on trail, few small downed trees, and packed snow passed around 2K feet. Be prepared for the cold up at the summit. Enjoy!

Trail is a quck loop arpumd the lake on asphalt. Good views of the lake. Fishing limited to from the shore. Non-motorized craft permitted.

few trees down on the trail. it's pretty wet/muddy so have good hiking boots. I did without spikes today and it was fine just slushy. theres about 6-7 inches of snow at the top as of today (1-12-20) but that could change from the storm were about to have!

Tons of snow! Parking only available directly next to I-90. We snowshoed up the road. Ran into other snowshoers, and saw 4 snowmobiles on the road as well. No downed trees up to the 2 mile marker. Running water in the creek today.
