Great trail. We took our Husky Atlas on a New Year’s Day hike and it was great many people out on the trail. The trail was a little icy and muddy but we just a storm around here a few trees were blown down across the trail but nothing to major. Get out and enjoy the beautiful well marked trail follow the blue blazes!

Nice views along the Winooski River. Short pleasant stroll. Renovation also taking place at the old marina, this is now Derway cove being restored by the land trust.

We got here a bit late...it was getting to be dusk and a bit rainy. But the drive to this point was just stunning...and we walked around a bit and listened to the sounds of the falls. We’d like to go back someday, hike it, and then stick around for a picnic and some more photos.

Excellent trail that goes along two creeks. Lot’s of rocks to negotiate. The pond at 2.2 miles up is a great payoff. We didn’t see another person.

Perfect easy trail. It’s short but hooks into other, almost as easy trails at the end. There’s even a port-o-potty a little less than a mile in. Beautiful views, couldn’t ask for anything more perfect if you’re looking for super simple.

I hiked Mount Pisgah in mid September and paddled Lake Willoughby the day prior. Dropped off at the South trailhead and picked up at the North trailhead. Intermediate but strenuous at times, the views on the North Trail just past the summit are as wonderful as any you'll experience in the Northeast! And taking a post hike dip in the deep, cold water of Lake Willoughby is incredibly refreshing.

Some challenging parts with steep slopes. Well traveled and marked trail. Great views at the lookout areas. Keep an eye out for the signage up top to make sure you don't miss the lookout areas. Well worth the hike!

Not an easy hike but beautiful views

Beautiful trail! Met a lot of great people along the way. It would be nice to have the top more clearly signed, a few hikers almost missed the view.

Trail is over grown and leads to nowhere! The best part was pond and nice fall colors at beginning of trail. Not worth hiking any further than pond area!

We paddled around the pond in our kayaks on a beautiful fall day. Watch out for hidden stumps.

A nice easy hike. Along stream much of the way with a lake at the end. Nothing difficult, but pretty scenery.

nice hike with great views of water.

decent trail, nice fall colors. if the gate is open at the end of the trail, you can drive down making this hike only like 1/2 mile

This is a really cool waterfall with a nice, long bridge going over. The main waterfall is super close to the street, so doing the one mile loop is up to you. There are good views of the waterfall above and below it, I suggest checking both out, especially the lower view. I saw four other people, but had the waterfall to myself around 4 pm. I though one of the coolest parts were the steps to nowhere (that used to go somewhere)- at the beginning of the bridge, look down to your left. There are two different entrances to get views, the main one with the bridge going over and another to the left of that entrance.

A fun little walk with some great views of the lake. The walking trail portion was definitely easy, you could probably push a stroller down it without a lot of problems. The trail next to the water on the other hand had some moderate areas including steep inclines and slippery roots that people looking for an easy walk might have trouble with.

This is a really nice little lake with completely undeveloped shoreline. Nice and bug free this mid September weekend. The only negative is the huge number of barely submerged stumps in some parts of the lake. Normally we'd like to paddle marshy backwater areas but I suspect many trees were cut before the lake was dammed and there are LOTS of old stumps lurking just an inch or so below the surface at just the right depth to really get you stuck in a kayak or canoe. With someone in the bow of a canoe you might stand a chance at seeing them. In a kayak, you can't see below the surface out in front of your boat. If you just stay clear of the stumpy areas you should be ok.

There is one part that is steep, but majority of the trail is easy and a nice view of boats.

Gentle trail up to the tower that boasts a lovely view.

The ponds are nice to visit but the hike is pretty much a short stroll paralleling the road.

Nice easy walk to Leffert's Pond. Should be beautiful during fall foliage.

Easy trail. No mud. Earlier in the season I’m sure more water would make for beautiful water falls.
