Did this in the fall on a super rainy day. Wild and beautiful.

Fun winter hike. Winter gear and spikes were needed.

Fresh snowfall on trail. (6+ inches) Broke trail to the fire tower. On the way down met up with other hikers. The trail is now clear and packed. Was tricky getting to the tower with snowshoes on.

Honestly the conditions for this trail could not have been better. The snow was so nicely packed. Made it out and back in 4hours. I wore my summer hiking boots and micro spikes and got up fine without trekking poles. I even got ended up taking my micro spikes on the way down but this trail was incredible!

Long trail south from Barnes camp to Taft lodge to chin by way of the Adam’s apple. Snow is much deeper up top. Visibility today at summit was about 20ft. Very strong wind. Cut my own line for the final .3 ascent because the trail was hard to follow in the snow. Lots of fun though. Tons of powder.

Beautiful winter hike! I took the Monroe trail to the summit. Packed down snow the entire way. Microspikes and poles were helpful but not essential. Snowshoes weren’t necessary. Recommend!

Beautiful but be sure to bring crampons and tracking poles. My microspikes was not really sufficient.

Nice moderate hike with decent trails. Especially enjoy that a loop can be done rather then an in and out on the same trail.

took red trail to blue trail Great day-35 degrees at noon when we started out. Didn't need the microspikes until about halfway up the red trail. No one had gone on the red trail last the first lean-to so we (2 humans,3dogs) broke trail to the second lean-to at the summit of West Peak.

Would be easier in warmer months, but between Christmas and New Year's it was pretty icy. Beautiful view at the top made it worth the scramble though.
