Beautiful trail with easy access from town.

Great mid week hike, 1st time there and fresh snow was packed an didn’t need spikes.

Leave the snow shoes home pack the ice cleats and or crampons and a pickax and helmet, ropes

I never heard of this trail in the places I looked. My jeep rental company told me about it. I was so glad they did. It was beautiful. The rocks and variety of colors are anazing. Completely snowy so so glad we had our jeep. If you go past the end there is this gorgeous valley at the top that is jaw dropping. The river crossings are fun and pretty without being dangerous at all. Easy trail but I could see where it could get really muddy at times.

This is a nice trail. Lots of varied terrain, some sandy parts, some slick rock. Didn't see anyone on the trail but there are lots of mountain bike tracks. Biggest downside is you can hear the freeway from every part of the trail.

Fun easy trail. Snowshoes made it easier is some spots.

Snowshoeing 1/12/20 - fantastic. Deep snow on the ridge. I turned around half way up the steep section with the trees (about 4 miles from the Avenues trail head) but until then it is very practicable. The trail is semi-packed to Twin Peaks, after that large snowshoes are required. At times I probed snow that was about 3 ft deep. Amazing trail until it gets to the hard part which is probably not practicable in snow.

Fun, easy trail, big fan! Will be back to do it again! (The golf course you will see us none other than Entrada Country Club. Yes, the one High school Musical was filmed at) #KEEPGOING

Very nice easy trail. Really enjoyed the hike in the snow - peaceful. Met some nice people on the trail. Saw three mule deer on the other side of the creek on my way back down.

I started out on this track, but turned around when I saw that it was just going to run along the side of the highway. I actually found a dense network of trails on the east side of the reservoir -- these do not show up on the AllTrails map but are described here: https://www.utahmountainbiking.com/trails/quail-overlook.htm. To get to these trails you have to turn right off North 5300 W (RT 318) onto a dirt road just before the chain link fencing for the Water Treatment Plant (coming from the South). Eventually I stumbled across a trailhead. There is also access from the neighborhoods on the east side of the park (Leeds). These trails seem mostly designed for mountain biking, with lots of very gradual switchbacks that are kind of a pain if you are hiking. You can climb up to the top of some of the escarpments and get good views of the area. There are lots of maps posted on the trails, but I didn't find them very helpful. There seems to be something funky with the GPS in the area, as my recording and some of the others posted have spikes going off in random directions. My wanderings probably added up to 3.5 miles.

Great trail for beginner snowshoeing! trails is carved out nicely, alot of snow due to the minimally higher elevation, trails had few people when I was there..

Very nice easy hike. Most of the trail is snow packed over ice. Micro spikes made the hike much more enjoyable. There were some large fresh lion tracks on the trail. I wouldn’t be concerned or deterred from doing it just keep your eyes open.

I went here while it was snowy, but given the current conditions that was perfect because it wasn't icy or muddy and easy to traverse. Beautiful views and plenty of sidetrails to go exploring. Steep in places but plenty of different elevations along the way.

Great trail. I parked at the Ogden Canyon trailhead and returned to a broken front door window. My car was broken into and nothing of value was taken. Take caution. I would suggest not parking in the gravel parking lot there at the trailhead.

Great super easy hike; was a little more difficult because of snow and ice, but was manageable. There are some really cool views of salt lake valley!
