overall a pretty decent hike a pretty consistent slope throughout the hike. the trail can be hard to follow at times as well. towards the top close to the cabin I would recommend snowshoes as the snow gets pretty deep. the cabin is pretty cool and a nice place to take a little break along with some pictures before heading back down.

Tried to access it - road is icy and muddy. Heard of people who did it but I didn't dare to drive my van there.

Loved it! Very crowded so a hike for the mornings. Good shoes are required for the last part, no spikes necessary but it can be icy so just be cautious. So worth it!

Fun trail to the falls. Did it in my 4runner with 2" lift and didn't need to put it into 4x4. Just took it slow and chose my path carefully. Wouldn't recommend it for any vehicle with a low clearance though.

Beautiful with the snow. Packed snow most of the trail. Microspikes are very useful right now.

Great hike. No marked trail. I used the guidance on climbing out if Gifford Canyon. I still had a couple Class IV moves near the top edge. The route to the narrow ascent canyon was convoluted. There is a Class IV move in the narrow canon near the top. I used the route I learned hiking G2 for my return. it was much easier. Amazing views and scenery

Too much snow without snowshoes for sections of the trail, but absolutely amazing still!

Absolutely beautiful hike. Crossed the creek 55 times on the way in. Used yak trax for about half of the hike due to ice and snow... it also got chilly in the shade. Trekking poles are very helpful for crossing the creeks and conditions. Feet stayed dry in hiking boots / stepping on rocks to cross the creek / water is low. Afternoon sun made the trail muddy. The end views were so rewarding!! Only saw 4 people in 3 1/2 hours.

Great hike! A little hard to stay on trail. I really think park service should put up markers. I used all trails to keep us on he track. Very rewarding at end when you reach the Vortex. We brought water, turkey sandwiches, banana and apples! Super cool terrain

The road to Touquerville Falls is pretty bumpy, and in some spots very rocky. 4 miles in and out. 4 wheel drive trucks, atvs, dirt bikes, horses, and walking is best recommended for this road. once up to the falls DO NOT jump off into the falls, its shallow and not deep enough. Several people have hurt themselves jumping into the water. The creek that is above and below the fall is beautiful, clear, and holds all kinds of frogs, toads, tadpole, water skippers, and snakes. Camping is free here, but it is some times crowded.

Great hike made somewhat challenging by the icy conditions on the initial decent into the wash. We did the hike with our 10 and 5 year olds. The 5 year old needed some help getting up into Peekaboo canyon and getting over some of the obstacles, but the hike was a breeze for the 10 year old. We did turn around in spooky canyon when we hit the boulders and instead walked along the canyon to the exit and then hiked in and out to experience more of the canyon. With the kids it took us about 4 hours. Beautiful and super fun hike!
