I have walked this trail multiple times. Always feel safe here. They make improvements and keep it up well.

Not a bad trail, well trafficked, good scenery.

Super nice paved walkway/running ‘trail’. Great place for pets but keep them on a leash! The old woman of Cookeville will 100% yell at you if your pup is off a leash.

This a great park loop. The first have has some good exercise with some steep hills that some semi natural step to help. The second on the way back depending g on which way you went has lots of little creeks and is much more relaxing and pretty with bamboo growing around the creek bed. My wife and I really enjoy this trail.

Easy hiking trail to bring your dogs. It’s the only dog friendly trail in Gatlinburg, but it’s beautiful. We went during the week and there was hardly anyone out there. Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed the hike and we enjoyed the scenery.

Nice trail for runners. Paved and not too far from the city center

What a great place for a winter day walk. We didn’t catch on to the fact it was a drive through trail. But we were really happy because we got to walk a couple miles then turned around to head back out.

Great running trail by the river. Easy but with some upwards at times.

Beautiful trail along the stream takes you to the visitor center. Part of the trail is in the road. Great hike

Great drive on northern part of parkway. Many nice little trails along the way and it is laid out nicely to create a sense of continuous green space

The main road ends and continues up to the top via gravel where there are several hiking trails ranging from 2 to 8 miles. The logging road is not a bad bike road aside from the occasional washed out areas and the constant flow of cars driving to the top for the hiking trails. Nice fairly easy bike ride, but the ride to the top does have a constant small uphill grade to it. Would recommend for an easy bike ride that will take about an hour or little more up and bike with stopping for sight viewing.

This is one of my favorites because it parallels an active RR line. Also, it seems to be open 24hrs a day. There are nice bathroom facilities in Drakes Creek Park.

Hiked with the niece who wanted to go to the quarry and then decided not to walk the whole trail. Thus the messed up recording. Great trail. Busy.

Very nice hike in one of my favorite state parks. This one is an easy hike mostly along the back side of the lake. Plenty of little picnic spots and a great trail for Charlie, our lab Did this on a cool winter day and saw zero, no, other people on the trail.

Great, paved walking trail. Good for running and small kids to bike.

Surprisingly nice trail through a national battlefield. Easy loop half on paved path half through the woods on well maintained, well marked path

My favorite trail for a combo hike/trail run. I default here unless the conditions are just too wet and muddy.

Walked half the horse trail. Really pretty trail.

An easy, well-maintained, gravel trail. If you’re looking for deep, backwoods hiking, this isn’t what you’re looking for. An enjoyable escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg that extends to the Sugarlands Visitor Center. I’ve done this trail 3 times in the last 3 days! (GPS went out halfway back - it’s roughly 4 miles out/back from the Gatlinburg Parkway). Several dogs, bicycles, and runners on this trail.

Beautiful drive! There were plenty of places to pull over and take photos, flow of traffic going up to the summit was good. When you get to the top parking can be an issue on weekends/busy days. There is a sign we missed on. The way in to the parking lot that said Tennessee-North Carolina boarder. Would’ve been cool to get a photo with that! Bathrooms were nice. Traffic was bad once we got to chimney top picnic area.

The trail was great! I started at the trail head at Kohl’s, went to the Dam and back. I was so glad to see restrooms at the dam. LOL there was a lot of traffic but not terrible. Lots of joggers, bikers and lots of dogs (all unleashes). I had tried this one earlier in the year but it was closed due to flooding. It was nice to be able to do the whole trek.

It was a good, well marked trail through the forest.

Lovely area, but should not be tagged for hiking. The loop is a paved one-way road with some paces to stop off for short hikes. The entire loop was jam packed with cars, many of whom completely ignore the no stopping/idling signs, stopping to look at and take pictures of deer. If you live in the city and never see deer or trees, you’ll think this is heaven. If you live in the mountains full time like we do and have deer pass through your yard multiple times per day, you won’t be impressed.
