Great place for a jog or a walk. Nice views and usually a peaceful place.

Not a bad trail, well trafficked, good scenery.

The trail was great! I started at the trail head at Kohl’s, went to the Dam and back. I was so glad to see restrooms at the dam. LOL there was a lot of traffic but not terrible. Lots of joggers, bikers and lots of dogs (all unleashes). I had tried this one earlier in the year but it was closed due to flooding. It was nice to be able to do the whole trek.

Great hike - well maintained, easy trail with a larger than anticipated waterfall!

Nothing too exciting. Very long and flat without much of a change of scenery. Great for trail running or a quick hike.

This was a great hike! My 8 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself, and the falls were beautiful!!

Beautiful hike along the French Broad River. Many birds and deer to see. Most reviews written in summer complained of conditions (too hot, sunny, bugs, etc.) however early December was perfect weather. Just not much foliage to look at. Although, in my opinion, made for better viewing. All in all, would recommend.

Not “moderate” it’s “easy”. All paved. Some steep spots if using wheelchair or baby carriage.

We started at the end of the trail beside Kohl’s and walked approximately 1 mile out and back. Trail was easy walking for us and the 4 year old. Stroller was easy to push. Saw many turtles in the river, some squirrels, a large salamander and tons of birds and butterflies. Unfortunately, we also passed a few questionable people carrying open containers drinking and this made us ( two women walking with children) uncomfortable so we haven’t gone back.

Very nice short and easy trail for an afternoon hike.

Nice longish out and back but mostly flat. Some views and noise from the lake in the summer. Excited to find prickly pear and some interesting geology. Mostly forested but some exposed sections. Encountered less than a dozen people on trail. Saw some deer and black vultures. Swimming area at the end of the trail was crowded, long wait for bathrooms. Approached by a creep while eating alone at the picnic tables. Packed up and left.

Not many markings along the route, trust the blue marks on the trees and yourself.

A very scenic paddle trip within thousands of acres of protected land. Technical skills are required to navigate some the twists and turns through the trees. This is not for the first time paddler.

Nice trail. Easy with a few small hills. There is some airplane noise but overall a very nice trail. We will definitely go back.

Great trail a lot of sand and rocks and leaves down hill all the way but the last 300 yards are the most spectacular there’s a great handrail going down about 3/4 of the steps and then they also have stone steps all the way down my dogs loved it I did as well

Great trail to the waterfall and plenty of other trail opportunities to hike down. The waterfall was beautiful. 3 mile hike to the waterfall round trip so it wasn’t too bad. Will go back just to check out the other trails.

Easy hike out to the falls. Trail was mostly hard-packed dirt with areas of roots and rocks. He the opportunity to be the only ones at the falls for most of the time we were there. Recommend going early to beat the crowds. We passed several groups on our way out.

Super easy hike. Minimal water coming out at the falls but it's still decent.

As of 10/16/19 the first mile has some down logs, making passing hard for a canoe but possibly with a kayak. Today water was @ 6.5 feet @ Lagrange/wolf river gauge making the entire trip without leaving boat. Take out; take hwy 57 to Moscow, after passing city look for Bateman road on right, a white fence. Follow that road to first bridge, parking on left before passing bridge. Put in: follow 57 to Lagrange, up two flashing light from take out. Before bridge oh right.
