on Biggin Creek Trail

Good walking trail. Moderate up/down which is a novelty for this area. Be sure to lift your feet as there are roots and more roots over the trail.

Great trail with gorgeous sights. Fairly easy hike.

Beautiful hike with lots of streams. I love the boards they’ve added to keep us out of the mud.

Did this hike today with a slight variation from the AllTrails map. Started at Raven Cliff Falls parking area and hiked clockwise on Coldspring Branch Trail to Jones Gap trail, finishing by taking Rim of the Gap westbound and returning to the parking area via Geer Hwy. Creek crossings on Coldspring Branch were quite dicey due to recent heavy rainfall. Rim of the Gap trail is no joke. Hiking up from Jones Gap is steep but presets no major obsticles. After the junction with the Pinnacle Connector trail, however, it becomes quite a bit more interesting. This section MAY have been closed due to poor conditions at the time I hiked it. Anyway... The trail is very narrow, mostly rock, mud and leaves, and requires a good bit of scrambling. For several water crossings and scrambles I had to toss my poles ahead, as both hands were needed for hanging on to rocks, limbs, and whatever else I could use to stay mostly upright. The trail is mostly easy to follow, but blazes are not consistent, and I imagine with more foliage in summer it could be a challenge. This trail is definitely no joke, far more challenging than anything I have seen hiking in the Smokies. That said, I was absolutely thrilled by it, and if you enjoy a truly challenging, technical hike, this is for you. Note: I would never advocate hiking a trail which has been closed by operating authorities. Always follow the advice of staff and trail operators.

I did this hike on a sunny day (low 70 degree weather). It was amazing. When you park you will need to cross the street, go past the red gate arm, follow the gravel, and look for the sign for the trail. It is a pretty steep hike from there. You go straight up a path. I wasn’t expecting it to be as exhausting as it was. Once you get to the part of the trail that makes a 90 degree right turn it is very level and you’re almost there. The mountain is really cool because there are so many different rock lookout spots. It wasn’t crowded when we went, but even if it was I don’t think it would have been a problem. There were a few groups rock climbing which was neat. I recommend it, but it was harder than I expected

Super fun for a short family hike !! Lots of shade !

Such a fun short hike ! Few spots were a little flooded due to rain and I feel like little bridges could be built or something can be added to make crossing easier with little kids, but other than that it was beautiful!! We had a picnic at the big waterfall! Can’t wait to try it in the summertime and let the kids play in the water !

We had some pretty severe weather in this area yesterday so today's hike was muddy and slippery in places. We took the trail to the point where it splits into the "Double Fork Tree Trail." Beautiful views of Lake Keowee in several places! This is not a hike I would do on my own because it was remote at the farthest part of the trail and we never saw other hikers in the area. I would certainly do this hike again and possibly pack a day bag for a picnic. In warmer weather I would bring a blow up raft for floating on this gorgeous emerald lake!

Started behind dog park. Good for day with kids/dogs. Gets busy!!

Trail is fine if you do the loop. Other trails are not clearly marked. We took a trail that wasn’t marked other than the start. We had to turn around after half a mile because there was no clear trail. We saw lots of beautiful Horses but also plenty of horse poop. The lake ending was lovely.

Great for toddlers and kids. May have to carry them. Day after rain, two river crossings. Recommend you just walk across the sandy section.

Great trail but crowded today. I guess since it is a Saturday and 66 degrees. A little muddy and had to take my boots off to cross the stream (2days of rain running). But nice views.

Since this trail is exclusively in Camp Old Indian you need to take trail up from Poinsett Bridge. This adds an additional mile+ to the hike. Once you get through the main camp you begin to see trail markers. From there it’s a straight hike to the summit. You get Southern views from the summit, in particular, Paris Mountain in Greenville.

It was a nice trail but you could tell we had gotten rain lately because there were a number of puddles but you could easily go around most of them

Good trail. Only saw two others. It is muddy. I took a few ticks off my dog after so check yourself and your dogs!
