Took my dog after I got off work. Nice trail for him to get out and stretch his legs. We only were able to do about a mile before the sun started going down. Parked at the parking area between the 2.25 and 2.5 mile post, walked to the 1.5 mile post and then turned around.

A great trail for all hiking experiences. There are a lot of smaller trails that off shoot from the main trail, so lots of opportunity for exploring.

if you use alltrails directions it will take you right to the trail head. mind you there is no sign just look for a tree with a hole in it and the footpath and you'll be fine. the trail is easy to follow and if you are in question just refer to the all trails map to get you back on the right path. there is be one point where the trail looks like it goes away from the creek (to the right) but don't. trust the alltrails map. there are 4 falls but just before you get to the house ruins you'll see a little path leading to a log across the creek and another path on the other side. take that and it will lead you to a fifth falls (pristine falls). this isn't a trail you want to rush. it does get tricky in spots and you don't want to miss anything like the fifth falls. if you want check other maps to see where pristine falls is located. this is a wonderful trail so take a friend or mans best friend. also keep an eye open. i did see a lot of bear scat.

Not sure why all the bad reviews beautiful trail and saw a gator.

Accidentally drove part of this

Loved this trail it was for brining our dog! We went on the trail in late January and really lucked out with the weather and trail conditions. As someone who is used to hiking traditional mountains trails, Congaree was the perfect change of pace. Great location for bird watching!

Interesting location for this trail, it lines a neighborhood and the road for a good portion of the trail. It was extremely muddy but well marked. It reminds me of Lake Conestee in Greenville, with little trails adjacent to the main trail. My dog had a ball out there, we saw tons of wildlife and deer tracks. I’d like to go back when one of the trails reopening, and a little more dry

This was a close, relaxing trail with my dog. No one was out there, and the trail was easy-unfortunately it’s literally right next to hunting grounds, so the close range gun shots were scary.

Unable to find trail head? Is it closed?

A nice trail but can be muddy if you go after a rain.

The hike took us about 1 hr and 40 mins (not counting stopping at the lookout). It was very heavily trafficked. There were a ton of people for a January. I would rank this hike more “easy” than “moderate”. There were families with kids of all ages and pups. The ending is at a lookout point with a long distance view of the falls. It was pretty, but there are a lot better views. My favorite thing was that it was an easy hike which made it enjoyable. If it were difficult then I would have probably ranked it lower.

An absolutely beautiful hike! It could use a few more markings, but I will definitely do this hike again.

I enjoyed this trail; however, it was quite muddy. I think it would be a great trail if it had been dry for a while.

This is a quick and easy trail. It affords good views of the waterfall and shoals of Lawson Fork Creek. There are a couple of other little interesting trails off the main trail. If you are a history buff you will enjoy looking at the old remnants of the mill. There was also a revolutionary war battle nearby

This is not hiking!! This is a greenway path that is very nice! But it’s heavily congested area with runner, bikes, family strolling, dog walker and women yacking!!! A great family day walk! Love love love the river!!! It’s a beautiful walking asphalt path with trees! PS about just over a mile of the path was closed today.

Good trail... most definitely needed the map to navigate due to a lot of forks.. but ultimately a nice casual trail.. (if it rains within 1-2 days prior, definitely expect some muddy trails!)

Nice winter views and good hills. Waterfalls were high volume with recent rain.

well maintained & marked. beautiful views.

Overall, good but lots of bikers and narrow path, making it a scramble when walking with dog trying to get out of the way in time.
