This was a great, short trail. There was snow but not enough to need snowshoes. The views of the river starting to ice over were amazing, and my dog loved the trail.

I am beginner and got electric help on uphills but enjoyed the nice icy road a lot with my fat bike. Hope to get more experience and enhance my reviews.

Parking very limited. Lots of noise from traffic. Great views of pretty houses.

Took the dog for a winter hike, followed the trail clockwise. Temperatures were slightly above freezing, but there was a good amount of ice on the rocks and the second half of the trail. Plenty of stream crossings and some rock scrambling, really fun trail that would be even more fun in warmer weather. Some of the trail markings are a little unclear at the water crossings. Overall great trail.

Super muddy. Lost the trail a bit but stayed along the river.

Shorter run today due to all the ice, didn’t attempt hills due to not wanting to slip and fall. Also, didn’t have gloves and fingers were giving me grief.

A great trail! First half of the loop was fine, the second half was very icy and muddy. Unless you’re prepared, I’d wait until temps warm up a bit to melt the ice.

very icy right now, make sure to have booties for your dog and a trek pole wouldn't hurt!

Lovely, local escape into nature.

Did Mount Joy - nice trail but wish the views were better.

This would be a much more enjoyable as a through hike, but it was still nice hiking a little over 6 miles in from Trindle Rd. and then back to the parking area. Very nice parking area with lots of space. This is mainly fields and woods with very little change in elevation until you get to the base of the mountain, then it goes up quick. Currently there is a large downed tree blocking the trail not to far from the Carlisle Pike going northbound on the trail-undergrowth is light, so no problem going around.
