A great trail! First half of the loop was fine, the second half was very icy and muddy. Unless you’re prepared, I’d wait until temps warm up a bit to melt the ice.

Nice trail especially giving the time of year with all of the wet weather. perfect distance for a moderate workout. trail was somewhat difficult to follow in spots and had to backtrack two or three times.

We walked the trail for the first time and it was great. Since this is both bike and hike trail, it can get busy sometimes. Today the weather was really awesome and there were a lot of people out on the trail. Note - the restrooms are closed for the season but they do have portable restrooms around the trail.

Trail was in good condition, a bit muddy but it is January and had snowed last week so I fully expected that. Nice hike but you really have to watch for the markers, some are missing, could definitely be marked better.

Very muddy when I went but definitely really nice trails for mountain biking. & even just north is a mountain biking course. Being there to hike was nice too.

Nice little hike around the lake. I would call this one easy, not moderate. Was good hike to make with my dog. Though he was very tempted to go in a few times!

The Messiah College has a 2 mile trail that goes along the water but this is primarily for the yellow breeches creek, not for hiking!

Great trail. Been going here my whole life but never did the full 6 mile loop. Very easy to follow trail. Today I did the full loop with my 3 month old border collie puppy and she loved it, she gave up and refused to go any further with only 5 minutes left to go. She’s a trooper, it’s a beautiful place to get a nice hike in

Easy going and great views of the lake. The dogs enjoyed it as much as we did.

I did this trail yesterday as we were lucky enough to get a couple mild days at the end of December. Moderate description is accurate and especially when it is Muddy and carrying a significant backpack. I think moderate is a good description. One Note right off the bat when walking down the hill from the parking lot you encounter the North Country Trail it goes left or right, you should Veer right on to the North Country Trail and then follow the very well-marked signs and placards to the campground. The campground is a rustic Campground but has all of the essentials. returning from the campground is the steeper side of the ridge and can be challenging. All in all I really enjoyed this hike. Wide trails, very well-marked, great time.

Should be rated as easy. nice trail but poorly marked. Park ranger was patrolling the entire place like a hawk, we were yelled at for walking on a patch of grass to get from the large bridge back onto the trail...

Great paved trail - I’ll say mostly flat as there are a few hilly bits. Well-maintained, very little litter (which is surprising as there aren’t many trash cans along the trail). Multiple access points, but not all have bathrooms so if that’s a concern for you, then make sure to plan accordingly!

The trail isn’t very well marked. There’s a lot of leaf cover, but it’s a fun time. The park is nice, and the bathrooms are open on Nov 16th.

This is a RIVER trail meaning you need a boat.

Very easy. If you’re looking for a casual stroll in the woods, this maybe good. It was way too plain/straightforward. Maybe a good idea if you want to spend an hour or so with kids or pets. Won’t recommend for anyone looking for views or a thrill.

Suspect trail markings, a lot of road and park noise. Only moderate because of the roots. Glad I got to see it but wouldn’t repeat

Part of this is a designated bike/walking lane on the main (paved) road that loops around the Presque Isle State Park, and part is a seperate sidewalk-type path. It's wide, flat and easy, and usually well maintained. Fall and spring, and early mornings, are the best times for this trail if you want less obstacles. It's two-way traffic but pleanty wide for passing. Working water fountains and bathrooms along the way between memorial day and labor day. Several rest facilities are open all year.
