Nice trail for dog walking. Not a lot of markings so I did make a few detours but always found my way in the end.

Nice trail. Hilly and a bit muddy in spots but a lovely, peaceful walk. Perfect for a quick morning walk/hike.

65 degrees out right now. Crazy! This hike is awesome. Fair inclines throughout but trail is well laid out while still maintaining the natural surface. A bit muddy on this January day but that is to be expected. LOVE

really really muddy

Well kept trails but too muddy after rain. Nice scenery but too close to the edge of the park so roads constantly in view.

Even though we almost got lost, almost lost some shoes due to the flooded & muddy “trail”, and got eaten alive by all the insects from the overgrown greenery we had a great time exploring! Our dogs LOVED it and with the right gear we would do it again. Make sure your pups are on a flea & tick preventative along with some spray as backup!

It was an ok hike. Much better ones in the area. The only nice vista was by the environmental center at the start. Lots of ups and downs which made it a bit adventurous but basically boring. Trails are easy to get turned around on, and a portion is closed which caused us to have to backtrack a bit. Very muddy which made some of the inclines interesting.

I don't recall seeing any blazing anywhere along Abigail Trail, but is a pretty obvious trail to follow. Trail is rather rocky, narrow and curvy with pine along the top of the mountain which I enjoyed. There isn't any clearing/view, but in winter can still see through the trees to get a sense of the elevation. Really liked the portion of trail along the reservoir which was mostly pine. There are no blazes, but not hard to locate the path (not that you could really get lost since is right between a reservoir and road). There was a strong storm that had blown through right before morning and I thought it would have been pretty muddy, but wasn't really at all...most of the trails around the Long Pine Run Reservoir were rather dry despite the recent heavy rainfall.

Beautiful lakeside view. moderately challenging, needs woodchips in muddy areas.

Is it the best hiking ever? No. But considering it’s proximity to the city it’s awesome. Definitely worth the trip. It’s nice to have something like this so close to the city. Be advised there is a lot of people around so if you’re looking to have the trail mostly to yourself, this isn’t the place.

Followed along behind a stranger for 90% of our hike. Two shots fired from very nearby hunters, which we felt was too close to trail. Stu fell on the ground, he said due to his "quick reflexes." It was kinda scary and unexpected, especially since we were just talking about post-apocalyptic situations. Great weather. 65 degrees. Lots of people were out with their dogs or families, especially some Kick-Butt elderly people. Hats off to them!
