Gravel trail that runs parallel to the Lehigh River. We hiked in winter and it was perfectly fine, if not terribly exciting. There are not many trail signs within Lehigh Gorge, so to access this one —best for a bike ride or fitness walk/run as opposed to nature hike—walk straight through parking lot to trail head.

Beautiful day. Constant sound of rushing water from the various streams due to last night's rain and the snow melt.

Omg that was fun. For my trail running fix.

65 degrees out right now. Crazy! This hike is awesome. Fair inclines throughout but trail is well laid out while still maintaining the natural surface. A bit muddy on this January day but that is to be expected. LOVE

Wound up taking a 4.5 mile hike here - up and down and up and down. Slightly muddy along some spots but that’s ok. Great day hiking this park.

really really muddy

Well kept trails but too muddy after rain. Nice scenery but too close to the edge of the park so roads constantly in view.

Nice short afternoon quiet hike.

would do 5 stars except for the fact that you can’t bring dogs

Nice trail with a mix of narrow trail under trees and wider trail in open fields. A little elevation which will get your heart pumping. Place to grab a biodegradable doggie poop bags and leave them in compost deposits.

We did 4 miles up then back from the starting point. It was muddy but a great scenic walk.

A good loop hike, however due to how fast the ice and snow was melting the trail became too muddy at the far end of the lake between camping area road and rt. 177. when the weather is drier, this is an enjoyable, easy hike. I did see several woodpeckers and ospreys. the trail should be marked better near the camping area.

Killed some time between work appointments. Decent view of the river. Nothing special.
