Hiked this trail in October and it was great for how short it ended up. I was hoping for a longer hike. I had studied a forest service map and did not have navigation with me and still managed to hike it just fine.

A nice day of hiking. Pretty deep snow at times, and some slippery switchbacks. Trail very easy to spot and follow.

hiking club trail is confusingly marked. all paved. most in the park area, but some in neighborhoods.

This is a Beautiful ,well-maintained ,paved ,even elevation, Family findlay for all ages even if your family members have 4 or 2 legs. It follows a wonderful river and there are plenty of places to explore and get your feet dirty if you are looking for that as well.

It's a nice trail to get out and about! Not much elevation change and the trail is paved (which I like), it's a nice beginner trail! I've cross country skied the trails as well, and it's beautiful scenery in the winter. Be sure to dress for the elements!!!

I went in April during the maple syrup tapping and pancake breakfast. Great day for a hike and food. There is a nice camp ground centrally centered so you. an break up the hike. Register online for camping.

This is a good trail at 3.5 mile it got really muddy and I had to detour to find a more suitable path. After this trail leaves the achenbach there are no markers and one could wander aimlessly without a gps or trail app to reference. once the trail heads out of the flats it's a steep scramble on a bentonite trail. Good trail can be boring at times but the steep trail in and out of the flats is worth it. HAVE BUG REPELLENT!

longboard is the go too

Really easy to ride on. Can be a little difficult with the wind.

Great paved trail that winds along the river. No worries of cars or other motorized vehicles, except for a few crossings. Kids have freedom to explore and ride. Quiet and very enjoyable. Fun place to Geocache too!

Great views and access to the Mighty Red River of the North. I enjoy the path for the access it gives to serenity close to GF/EGF. The Greenway is great for walks, bike rides, access to unlimited fishing spots, runs, picnic spots, hammock chill time and many more things I'm sure I missed. Within the last few years, there has been a company that rents out canoes/kayaks out of the Lincoln Park boat landing parking lot so hit that up to really enjoy the river. Frolfing at Lincoln Park is good as well.

NOT A TRAIL!!!! This is a wide sidewalk through the center of town and crowded with people. You’ll be lucky if you get a little dirt on your shoes.

The Grand Forks Greenway really makes the city more livable. You can spend part of a day biking it, or if hiking is more your thing, there are several unpaved trails to explore a bit closer to the river. All of the trails are entirely within the flood walls, so it's pretty much a 10ish mile long park winding along the river with nice wide trails on either side. Also, it's rarely crowded which makes it perfect for biking.

For being at the heart of the city, this little gem offers a subtle protection from the bustling industry of the area.

hiked the north achenbach. the trailmarkers are hard to see and the trail follows animal paths. it is easy to follow a path off the trail so watch carefully for the markers. early summer ticks are terrible through the grasslands bring repellant and be prepared to reapply. in my opinion if hiking the north unit the caprock coulee loop is a much more enjoyable hike. the veiws are better and the hills a little tougher. it is marked much better as well.

The trail is paved and perfect for road biking/walking. Offers some great views of the Red River. Since Grand Forks/EGF has put together such an extensive bike path system I have to give it a 4 star. Despite the lack of "outdoor" stuff to do, the path offers so much in terms of getting out and seeing what the Red River Valley has to offer.
