The warden said, “storm is coming!”

Pretty and woodsy, but a tangle of trails that have no good map. The DEC and carriage trails are easy enough, but once you go into the biking trails, it’s hard to figure out where you are. Though there are SMBA markers, they don’t seem to correspond with colors on the map, and there are no names on the trail to help you navigate. If you’re exploring make sure you have enough daylight in case you get lost... like I did

Fun hike in the winter.

Nice hike. really well marked. steep for the first mile but very doable. good family hike with 2 10 year olds who loved the tower at the top. good views at the top and worth it. will need spikes but did not need the snow shoes today.

Poor trail maintenance. Except for the pond, no payoffs. Decent hike..around 3hrs + 10 min break.

Part of the Wilton Wildlife Preserve system, Camp Saratoga offers a nice variety of trails to traverse alone, with friends, or family. A stream cascades through the system, and there a few open spaces and bridges, giving a nice break from the dense woodlands.

dog friendly and must be leashed at all times. most of dog owners actually followed the rules which was nice to see since I have a reactive dog and it ruins the experience, and our training when we do come across inconsiderate dog owners. trails are mainly used by mountain bikes but were marked really well and the grounds are kept really clean. park has a lot of pine trees which I love too.

Nice walk with awesome views!

great shorter hike with rocky parts and pretty views of the lake. Interesting to see the trees change, all the rock formations, and the many little streams to cross made it fun for the teens and dogs. we went counterclockwise started at the stone stairs red trail to Yellow and finished on green back to the lot.

Good woods hike with a few overlooks. Trails aren’t well cut but tree markers are placed close enough that it’s not hard to find your way. Lots of mud but expected after snow melts. Also found ticks on us and the dogs despite its being January so be aware.

Broke trail from ucan rd once off the snowmobile trail. Was snowing entire time and couldn’t get a view up top. No spikes meeddd this route

Snowy and slushy. Nice trail, moderate difficulty in the slush. Several trails intersect, so you need the app open to stay on trail.

A little bit muddy and one spot was closed cause trees were down and water covered the trail. Just went a few hundred feet around. Otherwise not bad and well thought out and maintained. Kudos to parks department.
