Beautiful trail. Still some snow, snow melt made it pretty soggy in some areas and icy in others. We didn’t need micro spikes. Colder at the top but a pretty mild day overall.

Did this hike on 1/26 from Uncan road and hiked in. We had to break trail the whole way. Couldn’t see much at top bc of snow and fog

Easy and nice! Yellow trail is the most beautiful, as it passes along two lakes- however red and blue go deeper into the woods, so you can’t hear the highway, and you feel more remote/secluded.

Nice and open for sure. So, so much more to explore. Dog friendly.

Nice hike for the senior citizen. Going counterclockwise the first 1.8 miles were interesting. rolling hills not very rocky easy. The next 1.5 miles contained 2 steep ascent and 2 descent. It was a very nice day.

I know the reviews say there’s no trail but seriously.. there’s no trail. No way to really tell where you should be walking, at least in the snow. We turned around about 1.5 miles in

Beautiful and muddy

My new favorite hiking trails! All the trails were clearly marked and easy to use! Absolutely beautiful if you love the woods and some peace and quiet. It even rained after snowing and the trails were not muddy and still packed with snow. My dog had a blast too!

The beginning half of the trail is part of the AT, which means it’s generally well maintained. However, once you get past the halfway point into the Yellow trail, the markings become more difficult to follow. The last segment wasn’t well marked on the descent from the mountain. But we figured it out. Not too icy, but could easily be after any precip.

Great day to be out on the trail! Only needed Hillsounds, a couple of inches of snow on ice. By the time I made my decent, a couple of groups had broken the glaze off the trail making it easier to make time! Started just after 8am and was off the trail by 3:00pm

Don't usually do reviews but I thought a trail condition report would be helpful: On 1/16/20, there was about 5 inches of fresh snow on the trail between Bump's Pond and Erebus (Official Summit) that was readily handled with microspikes. Most of the streams running on the trail were sufficiently frozen over (though not all). There was no mud.

Fun hike in the winter.

Nice hike. really well marked. steep for the first mile but very doable. good family hike with 2 10 year olds who loved the tower at the top. good views at the top and worth it. will need spikes but did not need the snow shoes today.

Poor trail maintenance. Except for the pond, no payoffs. Decent hike..around 3hrs + 10 min break.
