A very long hike with no views. Both summits and the col are very pretty. I’d like to visit the summits again but using a different approach.

This was a pleasant and somewhat challenging winter hike. Snow was fluffy, path already broken by hikers. snow 3 or 4 inches deep, used non-waterproof hiking boots, no gaiters, thick socks. No problem with snow or cold. temperature in mid-teens. See pics.

Nicely groomed snow. Birds and squirrels throughout. Will come back in the summer.

Very easy walk from the parking area!

Seems that things have been updated since others commented the trails weren't clearly marked - yellow and blue trails definitely were. Red was less marked but the trail in that area was clearly defined even during January with snow and ice. Awesome place to hike. Just a few small hilly areas but nothing too strenuous. Lots to see and enjoy.

Great Hike, amazing views done on 01/20/20 lots of snow, micro spikes is a must, I didn't have to use my snowshoes, not so deep, suggest to do it counterclockwise. from Prediger Rd.

Completed the longer of the two trails- Strava said 5.3 miles. This was fairly easy, not really a technical hike. There are a couple of steeper sections. Snowshoes and microspikes are recommended. Beautiful views from the top- can see over Lake Champlain to Vermont!

Short easy hike to the top of the dam - there are a few other trail options that go through the woods and by the river that you can use to extend your hike. Beautiful views!

Great hike, we did approx 5 miles and it was a great way to spend MLK day outdoors in the cold, sunny weather. Micro-spikes or ice cleats are a must. The trail was snow-covered after Saturday’s light snow, with two sections of ice we could get past. You’ll definitely want proper footwear. Great views in all directions. Enjoy!

This is one of my favorite go to's for eastern Long Island. the trail is very family friendly, there are quite a few observation decks and the birding is fantastic. Rated 4-stars because it is short, lacks a truly wild appeal, and during certain times the trails can be flooded and/or overrun by mosquitoes.

Very well marked trail. Has great views from the summits on the mountains you need to pass before getting to the Moxham summit. There's a decent amount of snow, but not enough to use snowshoes. I did the whole trail with my bare boots.

Amazing sunrise hike! Highly recommend! We did the full loop and the north side of the mountain is very rocky and currently very icy.

Nice trails. I thought they were a little more on the easy side, than moderate. Well marked, well taken care of. I noticed a couple icy spots, but nothing bad. Features some water, waterfall, bird houses, wooden walkways and bridges.
