This trail is great with many beautiful vistas. Walked it clockwise following multiple Carns. Great Hike.

Beautiful trails with well maintained desert greenery. This trail is in the middle of Pancho Villa state park. Beautiful area not too far from a gas station. Complete with a visitors center. Take a few steps and it doesn’t even feel like you are in the middle of a town.

One of easier trails down to the river from the mesa. Lovely and very manageable in the snow with lightweight hiking crampons. The trail also features two covered picnic shelters, one just below the rim and one beside the river. I’ll bring friends back for a picnic in the spring!

Clean Jeep Road, best to hike in cool months since no shade Dec. 30.do not go alone, only in groups. 1800# posted at entrance

Simple trail with solid views. Great trail to bring dogs on. Opportunity to pass by some mines.

Simple, easy trail. Well paved out and nice trail for beginners or kids. There are informative signs about dinosaurs for a great learning opportunity. The dinosaur prints are pretty neat. Very flat and short.

Not really a “hike” per se, but an easy and pleasant walk if you’re looking to relax and clear your mind. If you’re looking for a challenge or something more vigorous, this isn’t it. $5 entrance fee per vehicle.

Trail was nice and clear for the most part. As we neared the halfway point we encountered a snow covered and icy trail. We turned around at the 1.38 mark. Highlights included seeing 9 mountain goats across the gorge.

Not very demanding or interesting - unless a few holes/mines are your thing.

Quite a few places where trail is not marked well. Many places where if it had recently rained it could be dangerous. nice views along the ridge.

Great view of the city of rocks

Good running trail through town and then a bit on dirt path. Would do it again.

Not a hike but a nice 2.5 mile walk, heading out from the visitor center through a desert garden on well maintained and marked sand trail that’s running parallel to the Rio Grande inland, away from the river then doubles back, running alongside the rivers edge. Sadly no water, just sand, crossed the ‘river’ twice, looking for water. There is a $5.00 Day Use Fee, dogs on a leash are allowed and my pup had a good time. Saw several flocks of Quail, a Red Tail Hawk, a Roadrunner and lots of Coyote scat. Temperatures were in the low 70s, no bugs at all.

Packed sand and fine gravel surface good for walking, hiking or jogging. Long, flat out-and-back Trail so you can choose your own distance. Easy and good for all ages. Follows the river. Also has a great bike path.
