Walked with my 10 year old son who reluctantly made it all the way around. Lots to look at yet still peaceful. We will do it again!

A bit boring. Not much to see. There’s a nice little pond halfway through, and a few fields that look like they might be farmed.

It’s 3.1. I don’t know why you changed it to 2.2

Hiked the whole loop in about 2 hours and Only passed a few people the whole way. A few steep inclines and downhill bits and there are a couple of downed trees that need to be climbed over or under. My two dogs had a blast!

There is now also a orange trail from the yellow that goes adjacent to the reservoir and leads you to make a right or left on white. The most recent map on nj hiking .com trail map 2 is accurate! Over all great and always a go to

Easy “hike” at best. Minimal challenge/incline. Pretty trail, well marked and paved. Great for a run, biking, and pet friendly

I just completed a day hike from Batona camp to Lower Forge camp. Just over 6 miles, It was a chilly day and over cast. A nice easy hike and marked very well. Next time I’ll go north.

We were here on a balmy Sunday 3 days ago for the first time with our 2 dogs and it was in heavy use by families, dog walkers, seniors and any and everyone in-between. Very friendly crowd. Lovely natural setting with paved paths also accommodates bikers, skaters and scooters. We saw it all. Terrain has ups a d downs so it's an easy but worthwhile little workout. Only gave it 4 stars because there are many branching paved paths which are virtually unmarked. It's easy to get turned around which happened to us. Found our way back to the car by following someone who knew where they were. Would hesitate to go on a less populated day because of that.

Started on blue, 100 steps (ugh). Went over to green past the ruins towards the water fall. Should have gone yellow all the way back, next time. Great morning hike. It was muddy as I went the day after it rained. Rocky and steep in some areas.

Very nice about 3 mile hike . I took the blue trail. I suppose the white is longer but the blue is perfect if u ain’t trying to be out there half a day . Took about hour and half and I was moving .

Perfect spot for an evening walk, especially with the dog/kids. Great view of the city.

Great bike trails

Half the “trail” is soft sand. By trail I mean short cut grass around an old corn field. Down by the river you have to cross over a little stream on boards. Do not recommend if you don’t like walking or running in sand.

This is a nice trail if you can find it. Once you do, it is a nice trail. The roads leading to this (both sides ) are full of pot holes so be mindful of your speed. The water views are very nice. We saw some birds. We went on January 12 2020
