Did a combo of Savanna and Natural Tunnel trails today. Great walk!! Cold. A few muddy places and a couple of tricky water navs. Recommend waterproof shoes and walking poles.

Hiked from Bass 6 miles toward Ononadaga and then back. The trail was in excellent shape and well marked. Some great views of Huzzah valley. Trail was mostly up and down in the woods. Surface was good for hiking

love hiking Sam a Baker, me and my husband visited the gift shop there everyone was so nice, and very helpful. We stayed in the shelters, we passed a few folks on the trail being it was a very nice day here in November. These trails is say would be recommended to experience hikers, if you went out with no experience I'd say just be careful going up. No room for mistakes and this would be one of those trail hiking up mudlick Mountain. After the incline I enjoyed the firetower trail the next day.

Chat trail in good condition. I didn’t see many birds but it looks like if the conditions are right that this could be a very “birdy” trail.

Nice trail in early fall! Was easy to follow despite fallen leaves, and had a few nice overlooks. Not terribly scenic, but I've seen worse! Wear good shoes because there are lots of rocky sections, but nothing difficult. Right at the white connector 1 intersection, there is currently a large downed tree blocking the entire trail, but the trail is still passable with a little care.

Pretty heavily trafficked. Full loop takes you by the highway which isn't the best imo. Nice trail overall.

Great daily walking/ running trail! Very well kept but can be busy at certain times of the year.

Great for a paved trail for walking, the lake is great. Disc golf course intertwined

Flat and easy. Great area to see birds and fish.

Trail is closed due to trees across the path - a lot of trees! Once maintained though, this is a nice flat path around the lake with beavers!

Lot of bikes!

Love this paved trail after a hard rain when everything else is mud.

My husband and I hiked from HWY 8 to bass-butts resort (28 miles) and then canoed from bass-butts to Ozark outdoor riverside resort (10 miles). The hike wasn’t very scenic until the last 5 miles or so, but it was a fun trip! We did it in two days which I wouldn’t suggest. I look forward to going more south on the Ozark Trail

I’ll be honest this trail kicked my butt. I chose a hot day for the 10 mile hike. I planned to get out early morning but because of numerous things didn’t hit the trail till noon. The final trail mapped out for me at over 11 miles and some of the hills were brutal. I didn’t realize a few miles of this trail is down gravel roads and the sun was shining directly at my back for most of that. I enjoyed the hike but it gave me a rude awakening towards the end concerning my fitness level.

Note to self...read the reviews, and take them seriously. We ended up hiking 7 miles IN the river.

love floating and fishing this area, downfall is lots of people.

It was August in Missouri so not complaining. The temperature was decent, the trail was narrow and a bit overgrown in spots, normal for this time of year! Only one tree down. Looks like the other one has been cut up and moved off the trail. There was a very steep (but short) bluff to climb up on a natural rocky incline. Which I would not consider easy! I am so glad I brought my trekking pole! Trail ends at the parking lot, go through the parking lot to the other side and the trail picks up again but the sign says Bluff Trail instead. If you keep following it will take you to the whistle bridge that crosses the road. Lovely, Scenic walk along the river, sometimes almost in the river! Lots of spiders and bugs but again it’s that time of year! Beats walking on the road.

Nice short, wide, rock trail. Be perfect for taking little kids on.

Trail is paved. As a loop trail you must walk along the road. There were a few branches hanging along the trail. Its a 5 star as an out and back.

I'm miserable! I love it...

Decent water crossing at the beginning, due to heavy rains the previous night. Well signed, typical ozark & karst topography. Due to feet sliding around in wet shoes rolled the ankle @ 1.62. Didn’t call the run but def thought better of racing the doggo down the remaining hill. Only time I wished I didn’t have h2o proof shoes.
