Enjoyed a good trail run through this trail. Only did 4 miles, but I will be back to do the entire 7! Nice wide path on most parts and well marked.

It was a good mix of trails. They need to put more stone/gravel on steep inclines where it is extremely muddy.

First, AllTrails does not have the east half of this trail correct. I found, however, that Trail Link does. This is an enjoyable, relatively easy trail. The bridge over Saucier Creek is damaged, but still usable.

Diverse terrain and trails and things resembling trails. A spiderweb of marked and worn paths crisscrosses the woods behind the mall, connecting with the trails around the reservoirs. Found them by google maps, which is a little whimsical in its data tracks.

Well maintained and clearly marked trail for the 2.5 miles out I traveled on the trail. Moderate amount of traffic last Sunday in the middle of the day. It's December so I didn't see any unwanted bugs (I sprayed on deet as a precaution before starting), only a cool stick big in the parking lot and a small snake on the trail. I think I walked by hunters at one point, there was a pick up truck in the middle of woods one second then gone the next. Trail was pretty flat, only a couple of slight inclines or steps made of logs, and several plank "bridges".

Anyone every tried camping here?

Great hike!!

I was getting trail fever and this was the closest trail where I live. Knowing most of the terrain I wasn’t expecting to be wowed, but the distance is nice. If I ever get bored and want to build my hiker legs up it’s 10 minutes away. However, I went in May of 2019 and I had a yellow jacket or two annoy me the entire distance and back after I had got a few miles in. This would be better to hike in colder weather for such reasons. I wasn’t able to find the old bunkers. I wasn’t using a map either, so I might go again soon for that reason. Most of the other trails around the coastal regions here are really short in distance (probably more scenic). So this is moderate for people in the area who are trying to build stamina and train.

This first section of the trail had several crossings that could be challenging for some if the trail is muddy. Overall it is a great family hike.

A group of 9 of us hiked 4 miles in and 4 miles out. We did 2 miles of it in the dark , this is a beautiful and well traveled trail. There is an area with a bridge out and you must cross on a downed tree .

Nice long walk through the forest. However, after 2 miles you have seen it and could turn around.

This trail is a beautiful walk through the woods, but there are parts that split off onto other trails without any signage. Without the app, we wouldn’t have been able to stay on trail. Lots of banana spiders along the way. Ended up turning around about 2 miles in as it was pretty overgrown and we had already pulled some ticks off our dog. Ended up pulling two ticks off myself later on the walk back. Some spots pretty muddy as well. Would love to go try again after some trail maintenance!

Nice walking trail for fall and or spring. We had to park at the primitive camping ground and walk around a gate. I called the office and okay’d it with them. Once you cross the dam there is another gate. Trail is sign posted.

Excellent trail. There are some areas of washouts so your take your time. $4 parking fee.

Really pretty views of the river, swamps and wildlife. However, if it has been raining, be mindful of flooding and mud.

Amazing trail. It is more difficult for the first half of the trail. Has some pretty steep hills. But does have some great history. It doesn’t take nearly as long as we took to complete it. We stopped for some exploring, geocaching, photography, and sightseeing. Photos do not do this trail any justice! Would recommend.

I arrived at the trailhead about 8am this morning. It was about 65°. The trail is in good shape. One of the bridges was replaced with a log and ropes, and a couple others weren’t in great shape. Entirely passable with minimal adventure. Around mile 3 it got a little overgrown from reduced traffic. It was still passable, but I couldn’t stop thinking ticks and chiggers were going to get on me since I was wearing shorts. (No ticks found). I walked around the lake to add a little distance before the return trip. I’m glad I did, there was a nice pitcher plant bog on the backside. The campground had a couple “residents” that looked like they’d been there a while, but appeared harmless. On the return trip, I took one of the forestry roads for a change of scenery, which turned into some off trail time. Google maps shows the road as the trail, so the trail wasn’t where I expected it when I turned back to it (rookie move, I know). The forestry roads aren’t marked, but the trail is well blazed and simple to follow. I didn’t see another person on the trail until I was almost back to the trailhead (3/4 of a mile out, I passed about 10 people). Maybe because it was Sunday morning, maybe because it was Cruizin’ the Coast, but I loved having the trail to myself for 14 miles. Saw one (non-venomous) ribbon snake, a couple lizards, a sad turtle trekking to find a new body of water to inhabit, and a few pileated woodpeckers. No bugs today with it being so cool, and dry.

First time on the primitive trail, weather was perfect for a hike. Will definitely test whether you are in shape or not. I will hike this one again for sure!

Great trail, well marked. Large rock formations big enough to take shelter during rain. We hiked after receiving about 2 inches of rain overnight so the waterfall was flowing pretty nicely.
