Lovely trek through the woods today with about an inch of fresh snow on the ground. Streams were almost frozen but if you cross on the non-icy rocks, then it’s doable. Forgot my crampons but was fine. Pond itself was frozen solid but still beautiful.

Nice hike to the Boulders on a cold January day.; 11 degrees when we started. Thank goodness there was little wind. I was very thankful when the sun peeked out when we reached the Boulders and took a short break. All in all a good little hike and great company.

Hiked up Stony Ledge trail then down Sperry Rd and Roaring Brook Trail. Everything is blazed well and has good signage. About 4 to 6 inches of new snow. Some patches of ice but didn't need microspikes. Temp in single digits but sun was out so not bad. First mile of this loop is easy grade. Second mile to the overlook more strenuous. Great views of the Hopper and western side of Greylock. Also some views of the Taconic range from the top of Sperry Rd. Sperry Rd passes multiple campsites equipped with bear boxes.

If you like a trail that is a series so short steep stretches going up and down with a rambling trail then this is the trail for you. It was a lot of fun going up and down. Varied terrain with some rocky parts, nothing to tough. We took a right on the Skyview trail, from where the AllTrails directions had us park, so we got to the wonderful view of Boston less than a mile in prob more like half a mile.... which was fine with us. We could CNNof gone left in SkyView znd had a big ending. There was quite a bit off highway traffic sound but it was a windy afternoon so it wasn’t a bother.

Visited on a warmish day in the winter. there was a little bit of mud, but that is expected. I was surprised there wasn't more. Most of the dogs here were off leash, but that's better for my dog anyway. All of the dogs were very friendly as well as their owners. Will definitely visit again for views.

Awesome trail. Not difficult

I hiked all of the trail bit included some of reservoir trail and bald mtn. Good hike pretty hike. Realized I could record hikes with this app and really rely on the map system as I was hiking this trail. I like to go off course now and again so I’m excited to incorporate this app in the future. Regardless. Pretty trail

Good trail and my dog loved it, but beware the trails are not marked and it’s easy to get off track!

It was an unseasonably warm January day, in the 60’s so that’s probably why it was a little muddy. As long as u wear good hiking boots u will b fine! It was a busy trail, but it was nice out!! We saw lots of ppl w pups, like us! In the summer I assume it’s even busier than it was today! But it was a pretty walk!

trail very eroded due to use by dirt bikes. Not great for hiking, lousy for mountain biking. Pretty hemlock forest, though, and nice winter time ridge views.

Great little stroll in the woods, by ponds, and the dairy farm to say hello to cows, sheep, alpacas, and goats!

Even if it is 60 degree in January and you think it is going to be a nice walk, don’t go on the full loop of this trail! It’s a perfect length for a short hike or trail run but not on a warm day in winter, it is very flooded, so stay elevated if you choose to go in the winter months. It’s a great trail and not that highly trafficked overall. Happy trails!

Not enough trash bin ! People end up Throwing dog poop bags on the trail or don’t pick up after their dogs. Great for family ! Very crowded over the weekends. But if your looking for a short easy hike, this one is worth it.

The trail was nice and wide, no difficult terrain outside of what you would expect from an unpaved trail. I felt it was adequately marked. Definitely heavily trafficked and lots of dogs. The downside was most of the dogs were off leash. Great views.
