Nice wooded trail system at the backend of the cemetery. It was a nice surprise as I have been visiting the cemetery for years and had no idea the trails were here. Great for snowshoeing, lots of cross country skiers and dogs off leash.

Great easy walk. I took my dog and we ambled along comfortably. Overcast and windy but beautiful. Temperature in the high 30’s low 40’s. Saw just a few other people. Ahhh the beauty of Acadia off season! Highly recommend. Walk around eagle lake but really mostly out of sight until the last mile.

This is my favorite place to walk in town or the surrounding area. Right now it is snow-covered and the stream is along your path. It is very quiet and still but you do come across people which is nice. I start at the Hansons ridge point because it feels like I'm more in the country.

Walked from the Scarborough parking lot out to the marshes. Nice long, straight trail with no real elevation change. Would be great for biking.

a few fallen trees. trial not marked very well but figured out with the map. water was low so we took a detour into the river and up a little cliff

Great day for a walk, easy stroll and only a couple hunters out. So many trails did not follow exact route, basically just wandering around

phone died halfway through recording, but trail was easy and primarily flat.

excellent trip up a small mountain. The fire tower at the top has the most rewarding views. Did this hike with a 4 year old and 7 month old with no problem. if you are afraid of heights the fire tower is not for you.

Parked near the marsh and ran to the Black point road parking lot, back and forth was almost 4.5 miles. Beautiful views of crystal clear blue skies and the ruffling of leaves under our feet. Tips: don’t forget to wear orange or bright colors on the trail and in the woods in Maine for hunting season and watch for mud puddles and icy spots. Great for running and walking leisurely- stroller accessible. Benches for sitting. Dogs can be off leash after oct. 1 - Happy Hiking :)

Frosty morning out with the dog. Passed many dog walkers and trail runners. Some spots on the trail ice was melting. Enjoying the last days of fall

Easy carriage road trail - plenty of ducks in the ponds. Light snow flurries add a touch of magic. Nice rest from the rock scrambles elsewhere in Acadia.

Nice trail with lots of viewpoints.

Nice wide trail with great views of Eagle Lake and a lot of other hiking trails off of it for more options. Also a great biking option!

Recommend using Brentwood Community Garden as a map reference for the trailhead. I ended up on the wrong side of the fence in Evergreen Cemetery. I knocked this trail down one star because there are a number of recorded spurs that don’t appear to be supported by the community or serviced by Portland Trails. In one case it appears the locals disassemble a footbridge and dumped it into the drainage ditch to discourage use of that trail spur. Two other spurs lead to a utility corridor (overhead power lines) and serve no recreational purpose. I do not support off-trail use. No bugs. Recommend this area in the fall as the mosquitoes are voracious in spring and summer. Trail damp in a few places from recent rain. Some blowdown, but has been cleared from the trail. Passed a number of walkers, dogs on leash, and mountain bikers. I will consider revisiting this site in winter to explore on snowshoes. Nice fall colors, pleasant walk, some painted turtles still loitering at the pond with the ducks.

The Nubble is the unsung hero of this trail! The view from the top taking in Eagle Lake is stunning. Loved it!

Great bike ride from Scarborough to Saco. We pulled off to get an ice cream at Martels! (Have also done the ride from SoPo to Saco) Smooth ride, not crowded, a wonderful place to bike & not have to deal with cars- just be careful crossing roads!

Easy, peaceful and well marked. Had my toddler on my back and had no issues at all.

Fun easy walk. Gorgeous in the fall.

If you go from Hulls visitor center to this trail you will have a challenging ascent so much so many people walking their bike up. Beautiful stretches of forest, water etc.
