Enjoyed the trail. This trail is located in Bernheim Forest so you’ll be in a forest setting. There’s no overlooks which was fine with me. Unlike previous reviewers, having those yellow markers is a great thing when hiking the trail in late fall or winter. A 4 inch layer of leaves covers the forest floor making it impossible in numerous areas to actually see the trail. Many spots that you had to go over, under or around downed trees but that’s expected because...you’re in a forest!

This is a short trail in the beautiful Berea Pinnacles at the Berea College's Indian Fort. The high lite of the trail is the old stone seat theatre were Berea College use to hold their graduation ceremonies. It is worth the time, but plan to allow for exploring the multiple trails in the same park.

I bailed on going all the way to West Pinnacle from Indian Fort because it was quite cold and hands super stiff for the scrambling needed. Very enjoyable as always!

This is not where the trail is. This leads you to the college and a student lot. Tried another listing for this and it took me to another random places with abandoned houses. Someone needs to update this location

Just hiked Elm Lick yesterday while exploring Kentucky for what was really my first time since I've gotten into hiking more seriously and I loved it. The woman working at the visitors center advised us if we wanted the steeper inclines first to begin the trail by going left once it splits to form the loop but we got off trail a bit and managed to make it onto the trail that surrounds the outskirts of elm lick. it brought us back to elm lick just as the trail map shows and the rest of my experience was great. but since we managed to go right rather than left, towards the end of the hike we were relieved we went the way we did. There are extremely narrow stairs going up on your way out of the trail which in my opinion were better to go up than down. but we hiked on a sunny 40 degree day in January and I'll definitely be back to explore Millennium and other trails!!

The beginning is paved but most is gravel or dirt. Beautiful views and a few stream crossings (be ready!). Not hard but hillier than other trails I've tried around Louisville- so at least my heartrate went up a few times. I loved the lack of mountain bikers on this trail! Very well marked.

Great trail with views

beautiful trail but was pretty muddy today. otherwise, the views were awesome and the weather was great.

85% dry, sloppy in sections. Fun, easy hike.

I set out to hike the Paw Paw trail today but it was muddy so I respected the signs that advised to stay off of muddy trails and did some training with my dog along the Louisville Loop instead!

Easy trail for a nice walk in the woods. No extreme inclines/declines. Just watch for the trail bikes!
