Sac Fox trail very muddy. Turned around when I came to a hill because it was too slippery.

Trails very muddy. We hiked the Hauburg trail and had to bushwhack up to a higher trail because it because to muddy.

I’m a trail runner and this is probably the best trail around in terms of elevation. That being said I only gave it three stars because some of the trails are closed here and most of the roads around it are closed due to construction. Definitely challenging though. Lots of rocks and roots and hills. I just wish they would fix up the roads and open the other trails that are closed.

Day after Christmas 2019 ... it was 57 degrees for my first outdoor run (training for the chicago marathon 2020). It was absolutely awesome day to run.

This trail is perfectly fine in that it's well maintained and isn't hazardous in any way. But for being a forest preserve, you're not really in nature at all. I-94 is so close by that the roar of cars going by drowns out the sounds of birds chirping. There are many places locally where you can more enjoyably spend time outside.

This winding dirt path meanders slowly through the Illinois lowlands. Short steep hills and ravines make for a unique trail. The pathway itself is remarkably level with only the occasional climb. Completely lost count of the number of waterways scattered across the state park. Numerous offshoots on the trail would make it easy to spend the day here.

Great trail in winter. Needed to cross several sections of water that were not yet frozen. Great waterfalls and not crowded.

Easy, short paved loop, exactly 3.8. Decent spot for quick, easy run.

Hiked here a couple weeks ago. Trails were in good shape. Terrain was easy.

I've hiked and biked this trail. Superb sights to see and the lake, too! Wood areas to sand dunes to paved trails. This is a must see trail!

Nice 8 mile loop for a trail run, a few hills.

Nice place for a good walk -- I did it with my dog. If you follow the trail a little further south from where it ends on the map, there is a little overlook then a bridge where the trail crosses over the railroad tracks. This gives a nice view of the unique oak savanna and mixed prairie you just walked through. Also, check out the farm at the trailhead -- they have some animals outside if that is something that interests you.

Really nice trail with some incline. If you're lucky you'll see some Dier, Cayotes, and even a bear (jk about the bear)
