Sac Fox trail very muddy. Turned around when I came to a hill because it was too slippery.

Day after Christmas 2019 ... it was 57 degrees for my first outdoor run (training for the chicago marathon 2020). It was absolutely awesome day to run.

The entire trail is clear of leaves, a little damp but in good condition for hiking or biking.

Great flat trail with good connector trail ( yellow ) that’s easy to walk . Tons of parking and views. Great for biking !

Beautiful lake scenery, wonderful native grasses and flowers, wooded hiking areas. One of my favorite places to bike, hike and canoe at.

nice trail, well maintained. Good for hiking with kids.

It is a great place to ride. The park has a camp Host that is very helpful and friendly.

Good hike. I carried/wore a 5.5 month old for the whole thing, and we had no problems. The trail along the lake that starts near the restaurant is a little washed out in places, but nothing too bad. Also watch for tree roots crossing through the trail.

nice ride with easy hills. beautiful scenery.

Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was just like others the trail is not well marked. Good mixture of terrain, we prefer going back behind horse corral.

I did not get to the hiking trail, but Lake George is an easy nice paddle. Went 5 miles around the lake. Very calm, peaceful, and quiet. (But it was a Monday Afternoon)

Such a beautiful park.

This is one of the most frustrating hikes I've taken. I photograph at Horseshoe Lake a lot, but there are large portions of the lake that are difficult to access without a boat. When I saw this hiking trail along the shoreline of the island in the lake called "Walker's Island" I thought this would be great. I could possibly get views of the lake that I wouldn't normally have access to. Unfortunately, though the trail does hug the coastline, there are very few views of the lake itself. It is mainly a woodland hike. The lake is mere feet away but obscured by dense foliage. There aren't even animal trails down to the water. Maybe I'll try again in the winter. The north and the start of the south part of the path is well-maintained, but as the path goes towards the southern tip of the island, it becomes more overgrown and does not seem to be as well-maintained. At some points, I was almost bush-wacking. So some parts of the trail should be considered moderate for this reason otherwise, this is an easy walk. There is a path that cuts across the island through the fields that can be used as a short cut.

Our group had a meetup here and I loved the trails. Though not well marked, having a map and this app helped. We had to keep it short due to threatning weather radar. Highly recommend for hiking.

Much of the trail is flooded.

Beautiful trail with ponds and lakes on both sides. I love watching the cranes and blue herons hunt. Trail is mostly paved with many options to shorten or lengthen your ride.

Just a good old fashioned “Nature Trail”.

Disappointed as it was 5 miles of the 7 miles on road. 2 miles through woods was very pretty.

Good trail for beginner-moderate walker/hiker lots of butterflies and wildlife. Dog friendly and serene walk early morning. A little mucky due to recent rain and falling leaves, but not really too bad. Some people fishing and a few walkers. Good trail overall.

Went here with a large meetup group. Supports walking 3 abreast, did not see any bicyclists. Dogs allowed. Very scenic.
