Very nice nature trail. Lots of shade. But some parts are direct sun. Ice Water at end of trail and dog bowl too. Nice views of the Lake.

I started the trail in st Pete at Demens landing . Was excited to do the trail but then ... How is this trail rated easy ? If you start in st Pete you will come along bridge after bridge that you have to peddle up and down . I mean back to back up steep inclines . I was wore out so bad . Not to mention all the trash cans were overfilled and spilling everywhere . Homeless people sleeping everywhere . The neighborhood it goes through are no pleasantville . Maybe it would be a good trail if you had a weapon . Unbelievable. Going again tomorrow but starting in Dunedin. Will update with another review for that part of the trail

Always enjoy coming here . Nice work out stations with exercise to do every so often . I have been getting in shape by completing the course a couple times a week . Nice job Florida

Lots of trash, broken glass and rocky

Mostly boardwalk, it takes you out on the jetty at Ponce Inlet directly across from New Smyrna Beach. There's a short path that also goes from the beach around toward the Halifax River directly across from the lighthouse. I started this "hike" from Winter Haven Park further north on the beach. It's about 2 miles from the listed start of this trail but the parking is free and it's nice walk along the beach.

Only complaint is that you need your map, the trails have no marking system.

Nice trail for running. Ran 17 miles on the trails - all sorts of possible distances. Perfect trails for running.

The Bluffton trail is a great self-guided nature walk. It does not follow the AllTrails map track. Total distance: 1.3 miles

I rode the entire trail from Chestnut Park in East Lake to Dali museum in downtown St Petersburg. Was 45.3 miles and took me 5 and 1/2 hrs to complete. Was amazing and the Lord gave me strength.

32* at start 50* at finish

on Pioneer Trail

Waterfall - Where? Wildlife - sure. I did get to see an armadillo that was very much alive and had not been squashed by a car. Ups and downs give just over 400’ of gain and loss. You might one stretch where you gain about 60’. Don’t trust directions to trailhead provides by Apple Maps or Google Maps. They’ll both lead you to someone’s driveway (different driveways even). Maybe using a street address as opposed to the coordinates will yield better success.

Great trail! We loved going with our three kids. Historic mound site with varied terrain: water, forest/palm hammocks, oaks—gorgeous. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful minimally traveled spring area, follow the dirt road. Beautiful Short trails to sink hole springs.

Good walk on a Monday, lite traffic. Two hours, five miles...easy pace.

Great hike! Not overly maintained so as to retain the natural aesthetic of the ecosystems. Not a lot of animals but a great, natural trail hike.

Did this on foot but I feel this is much better suited for horseback riding. I spent much of the walk looking down in order to avoid stepping in horse poo. Some of the open spaces on the yellow trail were pretty. The blue trail runs right by some private residences but at least one of them had a cute little donkey I got to say hello to. Would recommend the 6.5 mile loop just down the street from the park entrance before this one to anyone looking for a trail that’s only for foot traffic.
