Great hike, starts with steep ascent gets the heart going, well marked until the camp ground that’s were I lost the trail came out on East River rd about two miles from my car, definitely need micro spikes when there’s snow and ice, next time I’ll print out a better map.

Great easy loop, just finished my first time here. Ran into one other hiker around 2 pm. Glad I did because there were no other human tracks from today. Lots of solitude and easy to navigate. Took a quick spur off to the right of the trail to look at the rock overlook over 44/6. Very cool.

Used trail to day camp. Stopped half way and set up hammocks. Would be a great trail for mountain biking.

This trail is usually heavily traveled. But today, with 25° weather, we had the place to ourselves! It was beautiful, simply beautiful.

Great trail for a moderate hike. The views along the trail are amazing and definitely worth the hike to the top. I chose to head up the path to the left up the mountain, it was a bit muddy with lots of people. On the way down was my favorite part-the trail closest to the ridge line. Significantly less people and better views. Also more technical on the descent with no blazes and a narrower trail. Parking may be challenging

Nice hike, did the blue trail loop, nice view of new Hartford from the top

one of the best and scenic hikes I have ever done in Rhode island. I did the whole loop in just about 2 hours. there is just about everything to see on this hike Bridges streams waterfalls and a tunnel of rhododendron. three quarters into the loop their is a gorgeous ravine . Perfect for all skill levels and four legged best friends .

Large tree down across path on north end descent.

trail is nicely marked. I didn't expect so much rocky incline/decline on the descent of the loop. At one point I had to find an alternate way up a rock for my Brittany (who is a midsized hunting dog). Nice hike just don't expect the way back to be easy.

Parked on Stone Rd about 0.3 miles into state-designated land and took the blue with yellow dot blaze (located on both sides of the road). The entrance with Wildcat Mountain was considerably less steep than the side with landmark and mileage signs. Both sides had plenty of mossy rocks to traverse (occasionally on inconvenient inclines and places; watch your step!). Plenty of other trails to explore. Overall, great hike!

Beautiful but a lot of slippery roots on steep angles and downed trees. Crossing the fast-running stream below the dam in the ravine was challenging. There was a precarious, rotting 2x6 board at the trail crossing.
