We’ve done this hike several times and it gets better every time. The falls are great and a good place to take some time to relax. Very peaceful.

It’s a pleasant walk. Nice views of Hot Springs below. You can start on one end and walk to the other without having to backtrack.

In it’s current state, this is the worst trail I’ve been on. Barely any markings for the path. I hate to bomb a trail so I’m giving it 2 stars for now. I’ll have to revisit later maybe during spring or summer when it’s better managed and cleaned up but in the winter season, it’s washed out and very easy to lose the trail and get lost. I got lost multiple times.

We ended up splitting time between the Rim Trail and the Bench Trail which follows the same path, just further down the mountain. Took the Sunrise point trail down from the Rim Trail to the Bench and then Gum Springs trail back. Vernall Trail was being worked on during so we skipped. Lots of beautiful views, VERY windy, and saw a nice waterfall.

The road leading in is bumpy with lots of pot holes but It was easy to navigate in a sedan. I visited in January right after rain so there was plenty of water flowing. The trail going back up is steep but there are a few good spots with rocks or benches to rest if needed. The trail was a bit slippery in some areas but nothing a good trail shoe can't handle. The rock formations and falls are absolutely stunning and well worth the hike! I did get confused as to where the trail began and where it continued on so be sure to follow the AllTrails map to stay on course.

Definitely would rate this as moderate. Keefe falls was neat but not my favorite in the area by a long shot. It was a scramble with footing and after the heavy rain leaves and rocks were slick. No real marked trail to follow but was easy enough to find because it’s pretty much a straight shot there and back.

Not a hike as much as a nice little stroll. The trail is paved the entire way with no level changes. There are signs throughout noting the tree names and info about the area. There are some bridges and log benches throughout the area with a nice picnic area right next to the trailhead. The road from the highway leading to the trailhead is unpaved and bumpy but otherwise easy to navigate even in a sedan.

Strava clocked this right under 5 miles for an out and back. Nice trail to do for a lunch break! All paved with some spots having rockier asphalt. Bridges are slippery when wet

The distance from Dillard's Ferry to Spring Creek Road is 6.1 miles, not 11.6 miles as noted in the above description. I had to put in a star rating to make this post but I have yet to hike it. The mileage is corrected based on Buffalo River Handbook by K.L. Smith (2018) and examining maps.

Very pretty waterfall. After you reach the first creek cross it and behind it is the Elise Falls. It’s a little slipper so be careful. Totally worth it and a very easy hike.

This was a great trail! My 5 yo son and I took our small dog a few days after it had snowed- the steps had a little bit of ice left where the sun didn’t shine and melt it away, so just a little slippery. We stopped and spotted several different types of birds along the ridge, noticed natural crystals sparkling along the trail and many small waterfalls. Beautiful and peaceful little hidden gem on Holiday Island.

Absolutely gorgeous trail. Very well marked. Tons to see. I started on one trail but branched off to some of the others just out of curiosity to see what they had to offer. Lots of art and sculptures to see. A lot of bridges. Trails are very easy to walk on, nice and even. My favorite part was the art walk trail. So pretty. Will be going again very soon.
