Very easy I thought. Lovely place to catch the sunset if you do not want to drive far away and just want to drive locally.

I wouldn’t go out of your way to do this one, but if you live in the area it’s a nice, quick hike. Heavily trafficked like every hike in AZ.

Super easy hike with kids. Flat easy terrain with river and lots of tree coverage. We haven’t made it the whole way. Just go about 2 miles in, play in the river, and hike back out.

Definitely a busy trail on the weekend, however it’s mostly in the first 2 miles. We actually had the falls to ourselves... but that was lucky as folks were coming up the trail as we left. Be prepared for steps, lots of steps. Tried this as a trail run and was successful for some segments but couldn’t sustain running up all the steps. Glorious undisturbed views once you get away from Tuscon a bit, beautiful falls. Recommend. Bring sunscreen & water.

From the trailhead, We hiked the Promenade Trail to the West Loop trail and then back to Adero trailhead. At this time (January 2020) you have to park outside a construction zone and walk 25 minutes to the trailhead - not particularly scenic. The Promenade trail is flat, short, and scenic. The West Loop trail is 1.3 miles with 500 ft of elevation; this trail is rated “very difficult”. If you are in average condition, the loop is doable - it just takes time. The reward is the incredible hill of cactus and other plants on the downhill side. Easy access from Scottsdale, very few people once you leave the trailhead.

Great trail! Nice views and nice moderate incline throughout. Took our dogs and they loved it! The only thing to note is the trail is narrow.

Easy hike with great views, and it's easy to hit the devil's bridge too if you want to extend it a bit.

Easy climb. Spectacular views! Broke off trail and ascended to the base, which was a difficult climb but worthwhile.

I did this impromptu. Went halfway and turned back cuz I'd only brought 2 liters of water. Prior reviews are accurate. No shade. Overgrown. My legs and arms were violently assaulted by bushes, unprovoked. Wear pants and sleeves for bushwacking if you wanna go walking into these bush's neighborhood uninvited. This 'hood is fiercely defended by local flora. Anyway, January is a nice time for this hike. Probably insufferable come Summer, even Spring.

Pretty location. I prefer areas where there are no people or concrete paths but here with my husband and he prefers more flatter hikes. We were both pleased with the beautiful Sonoran desert scenery and did a few trails to get my miles in. Will probably go back for a sunset hike.

Beautiful, lots of shade trees, many rest areas, dog friendly. Will hike many times

Great for taking the pups out on an enjoyable stroll.

This is an easy trail for adults. It’s more moderate for any under 5 due to the loose surface on the up and down portion. Not strenuous but plenty of chances to slip.

super easy, great with small kids or elderly or anyone who need even footed and mostly paved trails. I enjoy the interpretive signage along the route with photos for birdwatching and info on the riparian landscape. It is a busy place, sunita also good for anyone who is nervous about hiking solo or who gets nervous in open spaces.

Lots of dog walkers and mountain bikes. Pretty narrow in spots to let people pass. Would recommend for non-reactive dogs. Well marked trail, little shade, lots of sun.
